Wandern originated from an invitation of the Stiftung Kunst Heute, Bern (ch), to contribute to the visual concept of their 2006 collection presentation Reisen mit der Kunst (travelling by art).

The 6 motives were posted separately, or grouped, or as a single panoramic landscape all over the city of Bern. In situations where information had to be supplied, a trail mark sticker was added.
